Default Mach 1000??

Hey guys, I have an 03 gt with a mach 1000 audio system. I hate how I have no trunk room and such, I was wondering can I take out the subs and amps and still have my sterio sound ok?? I never turn up the bass all the way, and I have the extra weight it adds. Also, could I sell the subs and amps?? How much do you guys think I could get??

You will need to replace the headunit if you do that, but It can be done. I wouldnt sell them though because you would want to return it to stock if you ever sell it.

I'm in the opposite boat. I have a Mach 460 system and I'm interested in upgrading to the Mach 1000. Is it possible to just buy the upgrade? And if you're interested in selling the subs and amps for the 1000 I might be interested.

I do not know anything about the 03 Mustang; however, i have a 05 Mustang GT with the mach 1000 system and I remove the speaker enclosure in the trunk on a regular basis,( I autocross the car monthly) and the sytems still plays normally. I dont know if this helps or not. try disconnecting and removing the speakers and see if it works?
if it does work ok, keep your stock enclosure for when you sell the car, if you sell it seperatly you probably won't get what you will gain when you sell or trade your car.
