Default Everything works but subs.

So I got the box and the wires and everything all in the car and everything is wired up all nice and good so you can't see it and its a nice looking job and what not. So i turn on the car and no subs, I check the amp - got power. I check the head-unit sub is on. So I'm stuck. I am almost positive is has something to do with either the RCA cable or the actual speaker wire to the subs. It is a 2-channel Boss audio amp with a corresponding 12" sub. The amp says sumthin about bridged or something, but I cant figure it out. Why aren't my subs working? Please help, when I pulled the system out of the car it worked, and it worked on my buddies car like a month ago. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

I don't know if this will work or not but in my friends car there's a button on the system were the amp could be turned on or off. I would check that if it has this option.

did you check to see if the amp went into protection mode? is it bridged, if so did you use the + of chan 1 and the - of chan 2?

also look at your amp and make sure the rca's are plugged into the INPUT set and not the output set (if equipped) also if its a four channel amp and your using channel 1 and 2 then you have to have the speakers connected to channel 1 and 2 speaker out. Just some thing to double check, good luck.

Make sure you have the remote turn on wire hooked up. If not you will have power but the amp wont actually be on.

if the amp is on, then it isn't your remote wire because unless its like any amp i've ever messed with, it has no power without the remote (correct me if i'm wrong), best thing to is make sure your amp is getting power, if it is, make sure you haven't crossed the hots and negs from the amp to the subs, and sometimes with enough jarring, wires can come off the subs while switching from car to car. just something to check. but if everything checks out, make sure your sub is turned on if it has a subwoofer selection on the cd player and if it is on or doesn't have one, then the best thing to do is take an ohmeter and make sure you have signal coming from the amp to the sub. i'm sure its nothing major, and you'll prolly be like amazed at how you looked over the small problem. good luck with it, cuz i know it can be hell.
