87 fox audio wiring
I have an 87 GT conv with premium sound. I removed the factory amp which was grey and hexidonal on the floor under the dash. I removed the stock 4 connector
wire harness for the premium sound from the underdash wire harness. I plugged the 2 connector scoche (grey/black) kit in there. I have 2 wires remaining in the premium sound wire harness that feed the r/l door speakers. I cut those at a good length.
I have a 4 channel head unit I'm installing. Its a visteon dual media deck, tape and CD, stock in 2000 explorer. I plan to run 8 speakers. 2 IP, 2 door
on the front channel, and 2 rear pannel, 2 behind rear seat (not stock) on the rear channel.
I noticed that in the stock premium sound, the IP/Door speakers are wired from the same termimal, i.e. L-front & L door on one terminal, R front & R door on the other.
Can I do mine the same way?
I read about a bypass capacitor in the 1989 install post on 4/7/06. Should I do something like this as well?
Thank you

87's often used a common ground system which will not work with floating ground decks. You can trace the wires and seperate the grounds but running new wire to each speaker is often the best idea.
