Default mach 460 questions

how good is the mach 460 head unit (in dash 6 cd changer)? are there any specs available anywhere?

if I replace it with an aftermarket head unit and continue to use the mach 460 amps, will the sound quality increase at all?

also, what would sound better, using the mach 460 amps or running the speakers directly off the head unit amps?

is it possible to run all the speakers in the car directly from the head unit or do I absolutely need the external amps to power all the speakers in the car?

I am not familiar with the Mach 460 system. But from what I have read, it isnt all that great if you are truly into SQ. Any change to it is an improvement. I have heard of so many problems with it that it would be best in my opinion to run the speakers off the head until you can replace them and get some amps. It really isnt all that difficult or expensive to upgrade from stock if you do soem research and are willing to take on the project yourself.

it is ok, of course there is always room for improvement. There is a hrns to integrate an aftermarket deck into it. It may help a little but unless you start adding additional amps you will not get better sound.
