Replacing rear speakers in 94-98 convert
I was thinking about replacing the stock speakers in my 96 convertable. Has anyone taken apart the rear panels? If so how hard is it to do? and what sizes are the 2 in each side?
it is soooooo much easier then the hard tops...
Start by removing the bottom section of the rear seat. There are two white tabs that are between where your legs would be if you were sitting it, wedged between the seat and the floor carpet. If you feel between the seat and floor you will feel them. push the center portion of the tab towards the back of the car, and then simply lift it up. There are some screws located below it. I am thinkin there was a plastic tab on the top of the panel that needed to be removed, as well as possibly another screw behind the wher the seat belt goes through the plastic, but it has been a while since I have done one....
