Default need help with installation.

im installing three subs with a 2 channel amp, and four speakers with a four channel amp and a cap. I have an Idea on how to do it butI want to make sure i am doing it right. also I bought the JL audio 4 gage amp kit, it comes with an extra 4 gage black cable, does this cable goes strait from the battery to the cap? or where does it go? does anyone knows where I can get a diagram for this set up? I will apreciate the help,

Thank you in advance

The red 4 ga runs from the +pos on the batt to the +pos on the cap and then your can run your amps of the +pos post on the caps. The black 4 ga is the ground for the cap it does not go to the ground on the batt just put it to the body or frame..ect you will need some more wire for the ground for your amps.Hope this helps some

the 2 channel is a Pyramid 2400 Watts x 1 Bridged Output @ 4 Ohms and the 4 channel is also a Pyramid 250 Watts x 4 Output with three subs Power Handling: 500W RMS - 1000W MAX EACH.

Don't know if you've figured it out yet but here's my 2 cents.... You need to know the impedance of the speakers. They are likely 4 ohm which means you would need to run two in parallel (giving you 2 ohms) and the third in series (for a total of 6). Pyramid stuff does not conform to realistic measuring practices in my opinion. The 250 watt X 4 is probably 50 good watts by 4. The 2400 watt bridge is probably a few hundred at best. My point is that if you try to run too low of an impedence, you will set off the protection system or the amp will simply have a melt down. Be careful with that and check to make sure it does not get too hot. Amps in that wattage range, for true watts, would cost 10 times a pyramid amp. I'm not bashing the product, I just don't want you to cook anything.

If you don't know this stuff, what it is or where to look for it I would suggest you find a local shop with a good install rep and pay them. I know you didn't want to pay more for the install then the equipment but you can do AALLLOTTT of damage with they stuff you are putting in....
