Default Adding New Subwoofer

Is it possible to put a sub in my 2001 GT without having to get a new head unit. I have the stock system not the 460. i have the sub, the box, the amp, and all the wires but i just dont feel like taking out the stock head unit but i guess i will if its the only way to get my sub to work. thanks.

you just need a line convert or sni35 or sni95 which will allow you to tap in on your rear speakers and gives you rca's

Get a cheap new deck, if you're having to wire into the rear speakers you're not gonna be able to adjuste the sub level apart from the bass level of the speakers. It's def worth getting the deck so you can do it the right way.
