Default help with what to buy

I am looking to get a headunit with a motorized screen, that plays cds mp3 dvds. If I take otu the factory headunit, do I lose the disc changer also? What unit do you recommend and how much will it run me?

An Alpine with a motorized screen starts around $320 last time I looked, I was always a fan of Eclipse hu's, but I dont know about them anymore since they have gotten bought out by JVC.

i'd be interested to know where your information comes from about JVC aquiring Eclipse, (which is owned by Fujitsu Ten) I'm not saying you are wrong or right....

but Eclipse headunits are simple to use for the most part and are a good quality unit, Pioneer definately has more gadgets on their headunits.....i've used both and prefer the simplicity of the Eclipse.

I guess it all happened when Eclipse started selling through ciruit city a couple of months ago, I work at Best Buy (which doesnt help my credability much) But our upper management were the ones telling us this it kind of makes sense that eclipse would have jvc mass produce their head units to keep up with the demand since jvc is so huge, I dont really know for sure whether eclipse was bought out or they are just contracting out work to keep up with the demand, or whether any of this is concrete. I too love eclipses simplicity there is definitely an appeal to it they are strictly sound and nothing else, or at least they used to be?
