Viper is really decent for the money and is pretty user freindly especially if your installing it yourself. Thats if you get the schematics from their website.

Python and Viper are the same and either of those are great....Compustar has range but are a bit more confusing to use and install!

I would suggest python or the viper but when it comes to model that depends on if you want remote start, remote start and alarm, 2 way and all that.....give us a little more info!

well he said "remote start alarm kit" so I'm guessing he wants an alarm with remote start...i have always heard good things about cliffor viper and python...my installer just introduced me to the new Shelby Alarms...said they're really good...most of the features of the Clifford but then about 200 bucks less...and you know you want a SHELBY alarm on your stang...lol

they are re-badged crimestoppers. My first alarm was a crimestopper and it worked ok, but I don't know that I would put them on the same page as DEI.

Remote starts can be a little tricky to be honest. I don't know that I would recommend them to the amature DIY'er.
