Default Amplifier question coming from a complete newbie....

Im sick of trying to get my mach 460 to work so i want to put an aftermarket amplifier to power the speakers normally powered by the rear stock amps. There are four of them. Can someone tell me what i need and how to hook it up? My cd player has 2 channel rca preamp outputs...

well you can do like i did and re-wire the car completely and just get rid of the mach amps, it's a little time consuming but it sounds much cleaner

Perfect!!!!! basically run new speaker lines to each speaker and to the amp! do you have 2 pair? or just one pair of preout?

If you have 6 speakers total then you are going to want to find to buy a good 4 channel amplifier. then take the 2 rear speaker outputs and just tap 2 speakers into 1 terminal. run all new wires from your amplifier to your speakers. and then if your deck only has 2rca out your going to have an issue you might end up needing an aftermarket deck with a 4channel pre out.

You cant double up the rear speakers, cuz 2 are woofers and 2 are tweeters.
