Default Aftermarket headunit

Hey I was just wondering if there are any problems that come up when an aftermarket headunit is installed when the mach 460 sound system is already in the mustang? I'll probably just have someone at the sotre install it since it's so much easier...but would either of these cost extra to install because of the existing mach 460 (I know there's an installation cost, but would it be more than normal because of that):

Panasonic

Pioneer

I know it'll probably depend on where I go. I just wanted to hear some experiences of other people getting aftermarket headunits put in when the mach was in already. Also what's eveyone's opinions on those two decks?

I am Pickin up my '94 GT when I fly home home to indiana for a friends wedding, and drive it back to AZ. Bump.

I'm not too knowledgeable on this amp/sub/headunit issue since I just bought this gt so if I sound stupid forgive me.

The mach 460 system in my car is basically the 460 speakers up front and in the rear, the amp is a sony xplod 760 watt and 2 polk subs (not sure if this is the original mach 460 system).

First of all the guy before me never hooked up the amp and subs properly so I only have sound from the front and rear...no sub action. Secondly, after all that "installing" he left the factory headunit in it so I wanted to replace it with one of the two I already listed. So basically I was wondering if when I bought one of them at Circuit City, would it cost additional to have it hooked up correctly with the mach front and back speakers and my sony amp and polk subs (for example would it be more than a normal install, and if so by much?).

well first i had some trouble with the stock head unit, well the cd unit it took like forever for it to eject the cd's so i bought this pioneer stereo and is the sh*t, i installed the stereo is not that dificult, but you will need some parts to bypass the built in amplifiers that ford has in the 460, if you don't have the experience the store probably would charge you like 50 or 70 bucks there (even if it says free installation, believe me is not free) if you get the unit there, with the aftermarket unit is a piece of cake to install or in your case fix the subs, i did everything by miself (but build the subs enclosure) in like 4 hours (most of it making a stand for the amp in my trunk i have vert) anyway man i recomend you top buy the unit on-line (cardomain.com is usually the cheapest) and look for a friend that has some knowledge and do it yourself good luck
