Default sub and amp with stock mach 460 possible??

Hi, I was going to get a sub and amp for my car, but want to keep my 6 disc head unit......what do i have to do to get this to work out without getting a new head unit???? I've heard of people getting a lineout converter or something???where can i get this??? and is that all I need or is there a better way of going about getting the amp to work with the stock head unit???....ANY help would be appreciated!!

Thanks.

you can use a LOC(line out converter) or alot of amps will have high level inputs on the amp. What year car?

I just installed mine yesterday, using the line out converter. I bought my converter at best buy for like 25 bucks. I followed that same article and it went pretty smooth until I tried putting my freakin' box in my trunk.
