Shaker 1000 and PIE Adaptor
I had the Harmon Kardon Drive+Play system installed in my 06 GT a few weeks back. I wanted to get the PIE Adaptor hooked up so the system would work through the AUX, but the shop told me that using the PIE with the Shaker 1000 would mean i would lose the 6-disc CD changer. they installed it then using the wired FM transmitter. I like it, but there is some static and am thinking that maybe it is worth losing 5 out of 6 CDs to have clear sound. I just wanted to know if it was true that i would lose the CD changer with the PIE or if the shop is just wrong? they are a very good A/V and interior shop that i trust alot, i just know that pretty much only work with Mercedes, BMWs, Ferraris, etc and the Stang was totally new to them, so maybe they made a mistake
The shop is wrong... The PIE adapter which I have, hooks up to what is the port for a "rear video system". It runs about $90 and works well. You are missing a lot of sound going through an FM modulator.
Installation is easy and it has nothing to due with the 6 cd changer.

thanks a ton. i kept trying to figure out the cd changer could have a damn thing to do with the "Rear Entertainment System" or whatever its called. ill get it changed out ASAP
