roof mounted pockets and console?
I was driving a mini van for work...when I looked up, I noticed the row of pockets and holders on the roof above center console. I got to thinking, wouldn't that be cool if I could put one of those in my Mustang. Many SUVs have the lining of pockets and MPG and fuel efficiency as well as directional readouts on a small screen center above the windshield.
It would also make for a handy place to hide a garage door opener, as many actually have housings specifically for them. Or what about a place to hide a radar detector. The mini van even had a handy sunglasses holder. I thought I could even put a fold down DVD player right there with it for the people in the back. I don't know how it would work, or if it even would. But I do know, as I've seen on TV shows, it might not be and easy task, a do it yourself task, but someone out there CAN do it. I'm pretty sure it could be pulled off with some work and skill.

You're in luck dude...Cal-mustang.com has EXACTLY what you are looking for. I think they take them out of Ford minivans like you said. Thing is...they are 800 bucks! I'm sure you could find one from a junk yard and adapt it yourself for cheaper. But if you don't want to do that Cal-mustang has a kit specifically for 94-98 and 99-04 mustangs. They come in tan or gray and from the picture, it looks like they have two sunglass holders and two other pockets as well as the dome light. Hope this helps you out.
94-98 gray: part number 96L280
94-98 tan: 96L281
99-04 gray: 96L266
99-04 tan: 96L280
You'll have to ask about the part numbers. It is a new product so they might have messed em up. IDK why the 94-98 tan and 99-04 gray would have the same part number.
So yea check out Cal-mustang.com or give them a call at 1-800-775-0101

Hey cool...thanks. I've looked through those magazines, but usually it was just for certain items and then I'd just skim over the rest and probably never noticed. I don't think I'll be forking 500 dollars over, but maybe I can experiment and use another vehicles. I'm sure as long as there was no wiring in the other vehicles' it would be a simple matter of installing. That reminds though, I forgot to reorder my Dallas Mustangs and California Mustangs and Late Model Restoration, oooh and my 5.0 Mag is almost up, thanks for the reminder. HEHE see ya
