I am considering upgrading the stock subs with Kicker CompVR CVR82 8" Dual 2-ohm Voice Coil Subwoofers.
The stock subs each have a label that says 1.2 Ohm x2, 60 w x2. Will the Shaker 500 amps run the new subs or do I need to look at buying an aftermarket amp?


Specs on the Kickers show a 400w peak with 50-200w RMS range.





Does anyone have ANY input?

 

The factory amps are not enough to power the subs.

+ some major trimming would need to be done to fit the subs in the doors.
