Default Mach 460 Front speaker problem

This has been happening for a few months now. My rear speakers are aftermarket pioneers and I have them hooked directly up to the head unit. My front speakers are still factory and running off of the factory mach 460 amp. The front speakers will just randomly cut out while the rear ones will remain on. Yesterday, I noticed that when I push down on the footrest pad too hard, thats what is causing the speakers to cut out. Anybody know why this is happening? Did they really run the wires in a place that is subject to that much pressure? Also, where is the front amp located at, I want to rip it out.
