Default In dash DVD... options?

Just got back from greenway ford... Bought an 03 v6 coupe with the mach system and the 6 disc in dash player. Didn't know the CD player didn't work until I got it home and the dealership said I'm SOL now.

I'm gonna use this as my excuse to go ahead and get an in dash double din unit with Navi. I was just wondering if there were any older units people knew of that I could get my hands on for around 7 or $800 bucks? I was looking at crutchfield and other retailers and most units are going for about $1300, but a co-worker of mine landed a Kenwood double din with nav for 800 on ebay.\\Anyone have any idea's on which units I should look out for?

You can get a double din for around 7-800 bucks but not with Navigation, thats gonna be alot more. If you want one with nav, look to spend around $1500

Here's the one I had in my 03 v-6 and now i'm putting it in my 06 GT. Also included a picture to give you an idea what it would look like, you can also flip the cd bracket the other way so the monitor doesn't cover up you air conditioner settings.

This is also a pretty good price from this Place

I'ld prefer to stick with the Double Din units with the 6.5 screen. IMO they have a much cleaner look to them.

As for the prices The only reason I'm sooting for less than a grand is I know a few people who have found them like I said in my first post. My buddy got a kenwood excellon for under a grand including the navi brain. Cant seem to find that model anymore though.... I'll most likely just drop the $1300 on the eclipse crutchfield has, not liking the fact that supoosable the audio direction only comes out of one speaker though.

Is it true if I get this I need to get different amps for the stock speakers? Or can I just buy a harness that will work with the stock mach system?

Eclipse decks are the sh*t!! especially the double dins!! DO IT!!!! you can prolly find them on ebay for cheaper, but id rather buy from a authorized dealer because I heard eclipse has a warranty where if your deck gets stolen theyll send you a new one free of charge an no q's asked....

not sure if the send a new one or not, but it is true you dont get much of a warranty w/ buying off ebay. But you also have to figure out hmmmm do i want the warranty or do i want a cheaper price cuz ebay is defenitly hella cheaper
