Default brand new mustang owner: looking for some wiring help

hey everyone.

I just bought a 2006 Yellow GT coupe and I'm trying to install a carputer of sorts. I had it in my previous car, but I'm taking this opportunity to upgrade the carputer while I'm reinstalling it in a new car. Here's what I'm going to do:

Dell Axim x51v PDA
ASUS WL-HDD 160 gig NAS hard drive w/ wireless accesspoin.
Dell bluetooth GPS
P.I.E. aux input adaptor for the Shaker 500
Scosche bluetooth reciever w/ RCA out.

so...first I need to hook up power for all this stuff. I would prefer tapping power somewhere that will turn on and off with the ignition or radio.

The hard drive can go in the center console (there's a power point there) but I haven't checked if its an "always on" power point or if it shuts off with the ignition. I just don't want to run down my battery with the hard drive. I would really prefer to have it hidden in the trunk somwhere if I can figure out where to get power there.

Second, the GPS reciever needs to be on the rear deck (preferred) or the front dash. I'd really like to find someplace to tap the power OTHER than the power port, and hide the wiring under the trim.

The PIE and bluetooth adaptors will probably just tap into the radio's power and hide back there somewhere.

So...is there some switched power line I can tap in the trunk that can power both my hard drive and GPS? They're both 5V and I shouldn't need more than 2.5 amps to power both. Then I can just run the power cord for the GPS reciever between the fold-down seat and the frame, and the hard drive can go pretty much anywhere...it has about a 50 foot range, but the GPS reciever needs line-of-sight to the sky.

so...when all is set up, I will have the PDA connecting through 802.11 to the hard drive for music/video, and connecting through bluetooth to the GPS reciever and transmitting audio to the HU through bluetooth as well. Only 1 wire to plug in (power for the PDA) to get going.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

If the Units need 5v power how are you going to utilize a 12v system to power it all?

I have a 12V to 5V adaptor. I just need a place to connect it. I even have a cigarette lighter socket with vampire clips.
