Amp Connecting Question
I purchased a Lanzar Vibe426 4 Channel 1600 Watts High Power MOSFET Amplifier (Click Here to See) for my 1999 mustang GT. I have it installed on the stock Mach 460 sound system and i am wanting to connect 2 10" Sony Xplod XS-L100P5W subs each rated at 4 ohms, but I am unsure as to how I would need to connect them. I have never tried to run 2 subs off 4 channels, so if anyone would know how to do that, it would be awsome. I need to know how to bridge them correctly so it doesn't cause overheating, and I need to know if I should connect them in stereo or mono and how to do it. Thanks in advance.

You really shouldn't connect your subs to a 4 channel amp. channel amp are for what it says, 4 channels. 2 front speakers 2 rear. If you want to connect your subs the right way buy a 4 ohm mono sub amp.
If you are running your interior speakers off this amp already, I definately would not suggest hooking up your subs to that same amp.

I don't have anything else connected to the amp, but I really need to connect my subs to it. I believe it can be bridged somehow, if you know how to do that let me know please. I will eventually wind up getting a new amp but for now this is what I have to work with.
Alright....you can do this a couple of different ways. To get your 4ohms you need for your subs your going to want to do it this way, plus it's the easiest.
1. Connect one wire to the positive of Channel 1 and the other to the negative of Channel 2 (that will be one sub)
2. Connect one wire to the positive of Channel 3 and the other to the negative to Channel 4 (that's the second sub)
Now connecting it to your headunit, you'll need to get a y adapter to split the sub pre-amp RCA into four so you'll get all four channels of your amp to get sound.

BTW I forgot to mention that I have the amp running off of a Scosche Line Out Converter. My headunit doesn't have built in RCA's so I had to run it off the mach 460 Data Line in the back. I guess I would use the Splitter on the set of RCA's running from the Converter to the amp and then plug the split ends into the amp?

BTW...If you look on page 11 in your manual, your doing the 4-channel bridge.
