Default Need someone with Subwoofer Experience!

A buddy of mine has two 12" Directed Subs, with an 800w Sony Amp. For some reason every now and then, if he has his music past like 15 on his CD player.. the subs cut out! How would be the correct way to hook them up so they don't cut out?

Thanks
Jon

what are the model numbers of the subs and the amp? How to wire it will depend on the impedence and # of voice coils on sub..

Sounds like the subs are wired in such a way that overloads the amp (impedance too low). Could be a bad ground as well.

By the way, tell him he made a really bad choice with the Sony amp. They're absolute crap.
