Default Speaker wiring question

I have a couple of JL 10w3 - D4's. Until today I was only running one. I am running them in a series circuit so I can get the 4 ohms I need for them to sound good. My problem is, one of the speakers only works if I run it in parallel. Anyone know what could cause this?

Default RE: Speaker wiring question

how they are wired will not make a difference on if the speaker makes sound or not. What is the impedence and voice coil?
