i just got a 98' mustang and am about to put two jl audio 10w0's in it and i already know that these things pound. but i was just wondering if our cars have any rattling probs. b/c my friend has a mecury cougar 02' and hes got two 12's and it rattles like a ****.

 

like most cars it will rattle, my 97 gt rattles from the taillights and also the bumper a just a little

 

does a bear sh*t in the forest? yes, they rattle. more than most cars, imo.

 

anyone figure out how to stop the taillights from rattling?

 

Every car is going to rattle when you put a system, the only way to over come it is to buy and install a sound deadner such as dynamat or edead etc.... on my car the license plate rattled and the top of the trunk as well, i used dynamat an now the only thing that rattles is my rear bumper.... lol.........HELLS YEA THEY RATTLE....i don't have dynamat in my trunk but i do on my doors...they still rattle SLIGHTLY...but my trunk (at least from the outside) rattles like no other....from the inside though it's not that bad...mostly quarter panels and headliner but i just turn it up and can't hear em anymore

exactly...EVERY stang that I have ever driven (every generation but the S197) has rattled

 

It can be fixed however....I lowered my trunk latch about 1/4 of an inch so that the hood closes tighter and that virtually eliminated any trunk rattle...now it's just the side panels and such, but inside it sounds great and honestly not that bad outside
