ok...i have a 1998 mustang and i want subwoofers but i know absolutely NOTHING about them. But a friend of mine is going to sell me a 12" alpine type R, RMS watt 500 and a Vpower Alpine monochannel 600 watt amp.. will this thump in my car?

oh **** the sub is rated at 500 watts total or rms? either way it'll hit but you might want to talk to some one with a little more knowledge on type r's. im a jl audio fan. so..
