CD player install but no sound
I saw this sight and it looked it had some people who knew what they were talking about....\
I've done several cd player installs before but I'm stumped on this one. I was helping a friend putting a pioneer cd plaer in his 94 GT whit NO mach 460 sound system. (sidenote: CD player was removed from a 70s model ford truck and worked just fine. cd player is only about a year old) I thought this would be no problem seeing how I've done the swap in my 95 GT with a 460 system with no gliches. well, after trying to plug the right plugs, I go to plug it in. Everything powers up but no sound comes out of the speakers. What am I missing here? Thanks ahead of time.

It sounds like you have a speaker that is grounded out. Disconnect all the speaker wires and tray them one at a time to see if you have sound. Or if you have a test light unplug the radio and test the speakerwires for ground.
you can also try disconnecting the speakers one at a time to see if the others come on. Also take a look for a reset button on the radio, some older models needed that button to be pushed to turn the amp on.
