Default Should I get it fixed?

Two questions, I just bought a Camry recently and the head unit is a Pioneer, the face is detachable and is suppsed to insert into a Gold connector. One of the little gold tabs is lose and now the CD player will not recognize the head unit, if I put a CD in it plays but I cannot change songs, or the volume, etc. Does this sound fixable or should I chunk it? It appears to be a nice radio with XM.
Also, the car has new mids all around with a new head unit, I just want to add alittle bass, so I was thinking of one of those boxes that come with a 10' sub and a built in amp. Does anyone know a manufacturer that makes something like that? Expected costs? Thanks alot.
