How bout you pry off the top part and cut it to what length you want anything over 14" should give you decent signal strength then glue it back on and paint it with black gloss paint and your done, alot cheaper in my opinon. Also some of the shorty antenna's that are out there seem to stay bent after a while.

thats what i done with mine, doesnt take long at all. very easy and cheap to do. i cut off i think 17" or something like that to make it even with the roofline of the car. there is a full writeup on how to do it at www.mustangworld.com
