Default No power to cd player.

I have a 93 lx mustang hatchback. Yesterday when I got in the car for some reason the cd player didnt turn on like it normally does. Well I tried to hit the power button numerous times, detached and re-attached the face to make sure in was in place right and still nothing. I need to know what should I check to get it to work. Its an aftermarket JVC cd player that still has a cd inside. It worked on Tuesday night so I dont know what happened between then and yesterdya afternoon. Also all the lights are still working and the batter gauge doesnt seem to be different. If that has any effect.
