ok my dawm HIDs keep turning off at times sometimes its the left one then the right one sometimes they just flicker on and off. Any body have any ideas my shops says its the ballist and they guy I bought it from says it the install.......someone please help

 

sounds like the ballast. Did you change the headlight fuse when you installed the HIDs? you may need to increase the fuse to 25 amp.

often it is the ballast. check the connections as well.

 

i just bought some HIDs and on some sites it says you have to upgrade the fuse as already stated...i think i will just do it to be on the safe side as i have a 2 amp stereo system and my heaglights already dim a little bit when i crank on it

 

another thought I had was that HID's are current driven. If you have underdrive pulleys and maybe have low rpm's when taking off, you may not supply the voltage/current needed to strike the HID light.
