I'm planning on getting some 5x7's really soon and was wondering what the best speakers I could go with are?

 

That is an opinion question. The best thing to do is go to some different places and listen to some different speakers. In terms of whats best, go with a better quality speaker like Infinity, Polk, Alpine, Pioneer. A large part of your decision will depend on what you are looking for and what type of music you listen too. I have Infinity 5x7s now in my 01 mustang and I think they are great. But I plan on putting Alpine Type S in my other mustang soon. Hope that helps.

 

Thanks. I'll probably go with a good brand but I was at Best Buy just before I posted the thread and there was something wrong with all the demos so I couldn't hear them. I listen to all kinds of music and plan on getting a couple of 10's or 12's and probably a pair of tweeters so that I can get all the different levels of sound. Does this seem right? I'd obviously get the necessary amps, crossovers, etc.

i had polk momo 5x7's in my old stang with a 4 channel polk momo amp, sounded amazing, gets a lil pricey though. retail its like 160 a pair and the amp is around 4 or 500

 

if you got to a audio shop tell them you want to here the speakers with no amp on them. because if they sound good like that they will sound 10 times better with a amp in your car.
