hey guys in my mustang theres no speakers/wires inthe door for speakers. but theres 3.5" speakers in the dash. The dash speakers sound terrible. When i get my new deck and i have my sub and amp hooked up im going to want better front speakers. im just curious if its worth getting wires to the doors and buying 5 1/4" speakers or if i should buy good 3" speakers. Can 3" speakers get anywhere as good as 5 1/4" speakers without costing too much more. Also if i got 5 1/4" speakers id have to be careful which ones i got because theres not much room depth wise in the door because the window thing is in the way. Also if i end up doing the door speakers instead of bringing a wire through i could use the 1 for my power mirrors considering they dont work anyway. thnx

 

is this an old notch? there should be wiring in the door but to answer your question it will help the sound alot, a 3.5 is just not a full range speaker.........

 

if your going to do that much work I would get 6.5's not 5.25's. Much better midbass response for little more money.
