OK. some of you reading this must be wondering how it is that I don't know what the size of my speakers are... but please read on before you fall over laughing. When I purchased my GT it only had the front door speakers- nothing in the rear deck and that it was the baseline stereo (not the mach system) I've had JL subs in it from day 2- hence the reason why I never cared about the rear speakers. I sold the subs in Jan due to the vehicle going into storage and me being deployed in Feb and now I'm going on leave in Oct and I shall be driving it over 1200 miles from where I pick it up in Rhode Island and I NEED MUSIC! I don't want to spend another $1500 on subs and an amp just for a 19 hour drive so I'm going to settle for upgrading the factory speaker with JLs and I can't find any info online about the EXACT SIZE... everyone has kits to change the type but I want what was mean't to be there. I have an aftermarket head unit that puts out 45wx4ch. Does anyone know what size would be a DIRECT REPLACEMENT so I can just put them in without a kit??? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Mark

I'm guessing its a 97, hence your name. I think that they are 6X9's in the rear, not possitive tho. Measure the whole they drop into, then you'll know what size will fit in there.
