Does anyone know how to work around the brake line wire?
I have an 01 Cobra, I just got a indash screen, I want to get it professionally installed the only problem is that they have to hook it up to the brake, does anyone know how to work around that, or to cut it off so you don't have to apply the brake?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
I have an 06 Mustang that I tried installing a Pioneer AVH-P6800DVD radio in and grounding that damn wire did absolutely nothing!!! Message is still in the way of the movie...but I can hear it!!! Back to stock.................for now!!!
I was able to ground my Panasonic and it works fine. I think most people use a switch that is connected to ground - when you want to watch a movie just flip the switch. Supposedly the radio will detect the ground at power-up and disregard so the switch allows you to only ground it when you want to watch the DVD.
Depends on the headunit. What kind is it? Alpine needs a part from www.peripheralelectronics.com called a PTR7. it has to see a certain series of pulses on the parking brake and regular brake in order to work. The new Pioneer have a giro in them so they feel the vehicle moving and don't allow it.
