sound system question

alright well last night i was driving down the road and then i switched to the next song on my CD and for some reason my sub woofers just cut out? so when i got home i checked all the wires i could with the exception of the ground wire and the REM wire(i think thats what its called) because i had everything professionally installed and dont wanna go ripping anything apart..any help?

if you had it proffesionally installed then take it back before you rip into anything. Isntallers do not like you digging in their work and then comming back. Is the amp on?

amp may have overheated...what kind do you have?...i know in my old Contour i had some POS sony 10" subs and a POS sony amp...it was a 2 channel 90x2...for those subs it was fine...but when i hooked up my friend's JL 12s....it would cut out because the JLs were sucking the power out of the amp...it would get REALLY hot and the amp would go into protection mode to protect it from being damaged internally...also check the fuse(s) on the amp
