When I try to turn my volume down quickly, or some times not quick at all, my volume will actually go up! It's really annoying! If someone is trying to call me, and I have to turn down my volume for some other reason fast, and I turn it down, it'll shoot up even louder! Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it?

 

lol if i were you i would get a new headunit it happens top the one in my 5.0 but its pretty old now and has alot of use.

 

LOL, dude I've had the same problem in my 01 GT since I got it. It pisses me off all the damn time, just like you said, you need to turn the volume down and you cant, it shoots way up. Wish I knew how to fix it.

 

damnit! well it looks like I'm in the same boat as well... they should do a recall, my 01' is doing the same ****!! I cant turn it down quickly or it goes wayyyy up

 

I can't remember if it was my factory 460, or a friends, or a customers, but I remember one doing the same thing.

Simplest solution, buy a new head unit. If you have the 6 disc in dash changer, it's life is limited anyhow, so a new headunit may not be too far fethed anyhow.

 

Mine on my 01 did the same thing. Also my aunt's 01 Expedition does it also.
