Default limit speaker power

alrighty, i got an 80watt stereo, with EQ and a 300watt amp. I got the mach sound system for the 96 stang. i brought 4 new speakers.two backs, and two in door panels front. im left with two extra ones, the very top ones..they are still the OEM ones and they dont seem to have any capacitor to filter the low-pass/mid-pass range from the amps..they are hook up directly to the amp. i dont wanna go full blast cause i dont wannt to mess those to little speakers up. should i buy a capacitor for those speakers to filter the low-pass sound or i should just buy two new tweeters that can take the amp?? thanks in advance.

I say get new tweeters if you are going to fool with it.

My two cents anyway.

I am still running all stock speakers in my 94 gt with the mach and will not change them till them blow. I did put caps on the front speakers by the mirrors and bypassed the factory amps(they do not play well with aftermarket stuff) as it sounds better. Check out page 2 of my signature to see how I did it, its REALLY easy........ You need to find the hrns I am pointing to on page 2, it goes to the tweeters and rear speakers, but after factory amps......
