Default Help me find 12v ignition wire

My girlfriend has a 2002 V6 Mustang convertible that was recently broken into.

Instead of spending $400 for an alarm, I plan on spending $5.00 for a bright flashing LED that makes it look like it has an alarm.

My alarm in my jeep has a similar LED, and it is WAY obvious that it's not OEM so it should do the trick........or at least help a little.

Here is a link to what I am looking to install:

Can somebody please direct me to which wire I want to use for the 12V ignition wire which is grounded when the engine is off?

I really don't want to go aroud messing with wires that have ANYTHING to do with the ignition without knowing exactly which one to splice into.

Would an accessory fuse which is turned off while the vehicle is turned off work? Like a radio fuse or something? Thanks.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure where the 12 volt constant wire is. No, using the accessory wire or fuse wouldn't work. There would be no power to the led when the ignition is off. You could always run it off of the cigarette lighter wiring or directly to a 12V constant in your fuse box.

Have you looked at the link by any chance?

There are 3 wires.

1 constant 12v - easy
1 ground - easy
1 going to 12v ignition wire that is grounded when vehicle is off

This is what throws me off just a bit.

It's designed to turn on when the vehicle is off, and turn on when the vehicle is off.
I don't think that I should have to mess with an actual ignition wire, and I would think that I could splice it into a power source that is off when the vehicle is off. Unless if I am completely wrong and it's the other way around......
