Default Mach 460 sub?

Who here has connected a sub directly to the mach 460 system, I am considering it, but i am wondering if you need an amp, and if it hits pretty good..also which do u think is the best sub for it?

The mach 460 amps only put out like 13 watts rms to each channel. They suck. I got more power from bypassing the stock amps and running the speakers directly to the CD player. You will need an aftermarket head unit at least. The stock one sounded horrible. I bought a nice Sony chameleon from the pawn shop for $50 cause I was desperate and it was well worth what I paid. The sound it 100% better than the factory one and its cleaner looking w/ the chameleon. Youll need some sort of amplifier to push that sub.

page 2 of my sig shows how to integrate into the mach and still get good sound. The factory sub isn't great but isn't horrible if you get it to work correctly. I would not run any aftermarket subs off of the factory amps........
