What is your budget for the whole system.

I can include wires, amp, subs, and will price the box at $40 just incase you screw up your first and have to make two.

bottom line is whatever the subs hold rms is what will determine amp size and as long as you stay within the rms range and do not exceed they will last you. the sound will all depend on box design, i have always run sealed enclosures and they are the best when built to spec. i have a box program so if you give me sub type and size i can tell you just what the box will need to be then you can see if it will fit. smaller box=higher bass larger=lower bass just right =all frequencies the ohm load the speakers you get will also dictate the amp type and how much power. just post it here and i will tell you within the hour just what you need. trust me i ran spl competitions from 1992 until 2003 then i started back drag racing mustangs.

I've always run more powerfull amps then the rated components, it gives you much more headroom, but you have to be careful with gain matching.

What program are you using, bass box pro, winisd?

that is always ideal that way you can run the subs hard and stay out of the amps distortion level. yes that gain level can make or break the life of those subs bigtime. i was just making sure he knew that as long as he could cover the subs rms rating input he would be fine. in other words if his speaker runs 800 watts max and 250 rms he would need an amp that run about 400 to 500 watts rms not one that ran 1400 to 1600 peak power, you see what i mean. all that damn peak crap = D I S T O R T I O N SPARKOMATIC CRAPOLLA!!!!!!!!

For $300 all new stuff.

Elemental designs 12" k series woofer.Ed makes good stuff for a reasonable price. $125

Profile AP700M amp. Class A/B amp, cheap, puts out its rated power and reliable. $84 http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2553

Wiring Scoshe wiring kit from wal mart. around $25. But the 8 gauge version

Box, build it youself. $40

If you have stock HU, you will need a line output converter. $20 at best buy.

Thats a total of $294 so you might have to pay a little more for shipping, but should be a nice little setup.

he might wanna check into bazooka raw drivers and amps they are preety good on price and the amps are very clean. stay away from that damn master p design of bazooka they sound like dookie. the entry level single voice coils are awesome. put 2 12s in my buddys truck on a bazooka ba model amp and it was clean as hell.

Shivas are on sale! $112 shipped. Comparable to the ED driver, but it's your call.

Just another option...
