hey guys i heard these were the best for door and rear deck speakers. any recomendations for which model? would i need an aftermarket amp to power em or would a 50wattrms HU work. also someone suggest that i take out the rear speakers and just upgrade the ones in the door, is that a bad idea? AND last but not least do i need to get separate tweeters to go with the focals? THANKS GUYZ

 

focal is know to be a great sound quality speaker if that is what you want. If you want something loud and clear there are better out there for less.

 

i want a SQ and SPL speaker because i want it to sound good and clear without getting drowned out by my sub.

 

you got the rigtht brand as far i know. i think something like utpoia < is one of thier modles that i've heard are badass im not 100% possitive though

 

It all depends on your style of music. Focal is one of the best out there but the utopia series personally sounds like they are more built for classical music. Ive worked in car audio for years and im even silver class certified so i have seen a lot of combonations. I know a guy with a 1999 v6 mustang that put the alpine type-r 5x7 components up front, took out his rears, and used the holes where the speakers were for ports for his two JL W6'she had in his trunk. It sounded amazingly good. Hopethis helps

 

I like the focals I have heard, but can't get over the cost.
