Default Speaker install

I just bought an '04 GT and want to replace the speakers myself. Any tips or tricks on getting the door panels off and how to access the rear speakers? THANKS!

on the door panel take out all screws and start pushing upward on the door and it should lift up a little the pull out. Rear take off the head rest pads the the carpet piece over speakers. bolts should be along sides and bottom. Taking speakers out of rear your gona need a spubby screw driver very tight

Thanks for the help - did the front speakers - no problem, will do the rear speakers this weekend. Do you think it's worth cutting the carpet out to get better sound?

Cutting the carpet out really wont effect the sound too much. If you want better sound, try putting an amplifier to the speakers, about 200 watts would give you a nice clean and loud sound.

Actually, the hardest part was getting the damn carpet thing off. I had a 90 degree screwdriver that is only about 1.5 inches long, so I used that to loosen them. Then I just took the bit out and did it by hand, so not that bad.

Thanks for the help, would have never figured out how to do it!
