Default Need sub and amp suggestions...

I will have two of these boxes here, similar but maybe a bit smaller for each box to hold 12 in subs. I need you guys to suggest which sub to goin these boxes being poweredan MA Audio amplifier which I will be purchasing soon.

I'll be sliding the boxes underneath the very small space underneath the rear deck/convertible top storage area in my 93 GT convertible. Please help with any inputs.

Have you bought any of that yet?

If so, i hope you made sure that the surround on the sub has 2-3 inches above it so that the sub has room to push some air. I tried to build an enclosure that slid under the rear deck in my wifes old sebring and even with 2 8's it was impossible.

You can do much better then that amp for the money!

Dimensions of the box would be helpful but just about any sub will sound ok in a sealed enclosure, but make sure you have adquate depth for voice coil cooling.

I just bought the box yesterday and it can partially slide underneath the rear deck in my vert. I have it running a old 200 watt Orion 12 in sub and pushed by the 5th channel on my Alpine Flex amp. about 80-100 watts. Doesn't sound too bad. It definitely sounds better than my old set up.

That's a old Pyle 1200 watt sub inverted into a 10 in subwoofer box. When I bought the car, that's what I found in it. I guess the owner got desperate for SOME bass. I wish I could get a box big enough for that old Pyle to fit in my trunk.

Make sure you do not push the sub cone or surround against the rear deck. There must be clearence for the speaker to operate.
