Default Need some help!!!!!!!!

I have a 04 V6 and wanted to put some better sounds in it. Anybody know if you can put 2 12" and 2 amps in it and leavethe factory head unit, or is it better to just put a aftermarket head unit in. Also if I put a a new head in it am i able to keep all the factory speakers working? Thanks in advance..

I recommend you go ahead and replace the stock HU. I think you will be happier with the overall sound as well as have better controls for subs (via RCA jacks already low-pass filtered in most HU) You will also have level control for sub output that may come in handy depending on amount of bass you want to hear from time to time or passenger to passenger.

You will be able to use the factory speakers with new HU but will have to get a harness that will adapt to the Ford plug so you can connect it.

I would go to a local stereo shop and have them get the correct one for your model year. There are also lots of places on-line as well as other locations people have mentioned that carry them as well. Should be around $20 or so to get one and well worth it. Will have all the bare wires to connect for power, speakers and such.
