Default New Cd Player

I just bought a pioneer to replace an aftermarket JVC. All the wiring is correct and there is power but no sound. I hook the cd player directly to a speaker and it worked. In my other car I had to bypass the factory amp to get the cd player working but where there is supposed to be an amp there isn't. Has anyone had this type of problem?

hook up the remote turn on, the blue or blue/white. Sounds like you have a premium system of some type. What year car? Bypassing mustang premuim systems is easy.
