If you already have the polk db 6500 components with the separate 6.5 mids, tweeters and crossovers, power them with around 100 watts perside. If you don't get those or the momo comps. You need2 not 4 channel.

If you have rear speakers, sell them, throw them away, or send them to me for free to blow up. Anyone that has a knowledge of car audio will tell you rear fill is pointless. The key to a good sounding stereo is a great front stage and a little subwoofer. Ideally, you should not "hear" the sub when listening to regular music, it should blend in perfectly with the fronts.

Now to jgorm, JL: is nice but increadible overpriced and could be destroyed in sq and spl by any number of other drivers for the same price. If thats what you like and you have an extended experience in car audio thats great, but most people buy JL becuase thier local shop says its the best, not from experience or expertise.

Yes, I have, as I used to have a 12" w7, but I ran mine off a Memphis 1100.1 Class D. It's nothing bro. Go out, look around, see who has better offers, purchase them, be happy.

Thanks Preal. I was acually looking at getting those speakers for the front! But I think I'll stick with what I have, and we accually do have that alpine amp at my work ,I'll have to check the price on it. I'm getting adecent check next week so I may have enough.

Do the 6.5s really cound alot better then the oval 5x7s?
