Default Ipod setup for 2007 GT

I bought the AM/FM transmitter for my 2007 GT, but whenever I use it all I hear is static. Is there some way that I can hook up my ipod through the auxiliary input jack? What kind of cables would I need to do that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

did you set it up right? what kind of transmitter is it?

if its an itrip, turn the radio to the right station, turn on the ipod, and hit a song... the itrip should activate, override the station, and turn on....... otherwise I cant help you?

its a DLO...it says to find an empty frequency on the radio and then set the transmitter to the same station. I'm doing everything the directions are telling me to do and I still get a lot of static.

Get a cable with 3.5mm male plug on both ends, plug one to the ipod other to the input jack in the console. Press the aux button on the head unit and use the ipod controls to select. You won't get any static that way.
