Reviews on Sony Xplod D9001GTR
Anybody have a review on this? P told me that it wasn't good. I just bought one before he told me. Is it going to blow up on me or something? I'm not going to even open it if it isn't any good. Thanks P and the rest of y'all.
There is nothing wrongwith Sony stuff. What P said is just his opinion, and guess what, we ALL have opinions. P has experience with a lot of products so he has found things that he much prefers over X-Plod amps.
Sony is a well established company with a good name. The good name comes from good products. That doesn't mean that they will nevermake a Corvair, butthe amp will befine. I did not readthe post with his thoughts on your amp, but take all advice given here with a grain of salt. That includes mine.

ok, i just wasn't sure. I figured it was at least decent, i wasn't looking for the greatest thing out there but if it would sound good and deliver the power i am looking for then that is fine by me. Thanks guys! And P thanks for making me think i wasted my money![8D]
The amp will work fine. Just remeber sony products do what thier name implys. The first hu I purchased was a sony xplode and it did just that.
You didn't waste all your money, but you could have done much better for the price.
The audible difference in sub amps is hard to discern, but the actual power output of the amps regardless of what the manufactorer says is a whole different story. My diamond 600 watt sub amp makes a lot more power then your sony 600 watt amp. In general, for subs, a watt is a watt.
Some people will say a watt is always a watt, but based on my experiences that is not the case when it involves mids and highs.
