The old round solo barics were nice. Also the original "kicker" aka stillwater designs subs were great in thier day.

Now kicker is all about livin loud, not sounding good.

Could you please state some facts as to why Type R subs are so horrible? I own one and I think it offers a pretty good combonation ofsound quality and power handlingfor the price.

i have two...and they are OK...they do distort some...SQ is decent on some kinds of music...but not anything that is any more dynamic than rap or has more than one tone playing at once...plus i thought the bass would be tighter with 10s...my enclosure is tiny and sealed and they still move pretty sloppily and slow for 10s

My question is what expertise do you have to say that they are good? They areterrible sq subs and power handling means nothing. My sub is only rated at 500watts rms and I puch it with around 6-700 real watts with no issues. My front component speakers are 150 watts rms and I am pushing 300 watts a side.

What other equipment have you dealt with, how many installs have you done; what does your front stage entail?
