Default subwoofer help

alright guys, i got a 2003 mustang with a rear seat delete (wondering if that would affect my bass.) i also dynamatted my trunk. but i was looking at 2 12's type-r's. Does it matter if its 2 ohms or 4ohms, and wahts the difference? For my box i was looking at this (painted in red to match the stang), http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04...spagenameZWDVW
I'm also not sure what amp i would need to run the 2 type r's, help?

what do you guys think? comments? opinions? help?

I'm really sorry, but you should read a couple more post before you mention the Type R.

You can do much much better for the money.

Tell us your budget, and we will help you get the best deal.

A grand for amp, subs and wiring is pretty generous.

Get two of these.

And one of these.

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4199

And you still have money left for wiring and shipping and handling.

What kind of sound do you want? SQ or SPL?

How much room are you willing to give to the box?

Do you need any trunk room?

Do you really want all bass with no front stage?

What type of music do you listen too?

Sound quality...You want it to sound good inside the car.

Sound Pressure Level...you want everyone to hear it.

k well i want bass without losing quality. just enough for people nearby to hear/feel it but i dont need block-shaking base. i want it to sound good though, thats the most important.

i have my trunk dynamatted so would it be better if i put the subs in the trunk or if put them where my rear seat delete is?

right now i'm running an pretty good alpine deck like cda-9847 with ipod hook up.

i also got kicker door speakers and kicker comp 6x9's (above my back seats) not sure the model numbers. these work well enough i jsut need the bass in the system.

My front comps have enough midbass to be heard outside the doors with two layers of dynamat extreme.

I think you are looking for a good quality sql setup. Let me do some looking.
