Default Subwoofer Problem

I have an issue with my 10 inch subwoofer. It has never worked in the cold and cuts itself off. It stopped working about 2 weeks ago when we got with some cold weather. It is warm now and it will not cut back on. I have even un hooked it and re-hooked it back up. I know that I did not blow it because I would have heard it go. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?

Check your fuse on your power cable. Check all wires connecting the sub to the box, box to amp, amp to battery, and amp to cd deck....

You probably just blew a fuse.

You wont necessarily hear your sub "blow".

you sure its wired correctly?

im not expert but it sounds like its either your wireing or your amp. maybe hook another system up to your wireing just to make sure.

it's only hooked up to a 300 watt amp with 600 watt peak
The only wires I messed with are the pos. and neg. ones that hook up to the back of the sub. I am 99% sure I hooked them up righ tbu tthey may have been mixed up. I will check them again. Where is the fuse located?

Ya check your ground man. Even if your batt is going bad that could be the prob. When it gets cold it uses more of the batt juice to start!

not really sure what your actuall problem is but alot of people dont realize that your subs need to warm up to, instead of letting them warm up in the cold mornings alot of people just get in their cars and blast them

+1 your amp needs to heat up too... i wired my subs onto a switch with the remote line... that way if i ever have a head ach or when its cold like this i dont turn them on until the car is heated up
