Default how do i set this up?

My amp has a hi level sensing feature that allows it to turn on without the remote wire. does this mean i don't need the line out converter AND the remote wire? Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys! My amp is a sony xm-d9001GTR.

I want to say that your amp SHOULD be connected with a remote wire from the stereo to the amp. Then you have some RCA jacks from the radio to the amp. Ran seperately to eliminate any noise through the system. A line out converter is used if and only the headunit doesn't have any RCA jack connectors and one side of the line connector is RCA jacks going to the amp and the other side is 16 gauge wire connecting the the headunit/radio. A wiring diagram/color scheme should be there help you connect it properly. Are you using the original radio or aftermarket one?

if you use the high level input you are correct you will no need the loc or remote wire. Depending on where you tap your signal you will get more or less noise. Make sure to start the engine to check for noise, you may need to move the signal connections.
